Todd, Ron C. and Patrick regaled us with tales of the Unconventional Convention down in Corbin, KY. This years “headliner” for the convention was Bob Sheets. “Several of us C.R.A.P. members are just back from Cumberland Falls , Kentucky and the 36th Annual Unconventional Magic Convention. Two of our very own members, Pat and Ron, performed on the Saturday night show. Both involved audience members, Pat performed several mentalist effects and Ron shared his floating table routine with the help of a young lady from the crowd.
This was my first visit to the convention and certainly not my last. In these times of ever increasing prices, it’s really nice to have an inexpensive, relatively close, mini-magic convention like the Unconventional Convention to attend. Money well spent.
Many thanks go out to IBM Ring 198 of Lexington for hosting the informative and fun event. In my opinion, it was time and money well spent. If you never have been to this unique magic get-together, you’re really missing out on a fun event.
